While creating painted papers for future collage projects, a student, grinning from ear to ear exclaimed with excitement, “what a beautiful mess!” No doubt about it, my room has been a beautiful mess of colors and textures this week! Too often people focus only on the polished, finished artwork on display. This week K-2 experienced the joy of getting lost in the process of creating. Paint covered hands, smiles, and laughter dominated our time together this week, I am excited to see what these amazing artists create with all this beautiful painted paper!
